Way-finding Improvements:

Breadcrumbs: Added breadcrumbs to enhance way-finding and help users navigate back through their browsing path easily.

Homepage Redesign:

Business and User Needs: Revamped the homepage to better reflect business priorities and user needs, with a strong emphasis on a business-wide calendar for managing announcements, notifications, staff updates, and events.

Enhanced Discoverability:

Mega-Menu: Recommended and implemented a mega-menu to improve content discoverability and streamline access to key sections.

Mobile-First Design:

Accessibility: Designed the intranet with a mobile-first approach, ensuring that it would be accessible and functional for staff working in the field or using various devices.

Predictive Search:

Search Functionality: Introduced predictive search to improve content discovery and user efficiency.

Outcome

The redesign enhanced the intranet’s usability and accessibility, providing a more intuitive navigation experience and better supporting remote staff. Further testing was planned to validate the changes with staff.
